Danbury Police Chief Al Baker Retires

DANBURY, Conn. – Danbury Police Chief Al Baker is retiring from the Danbury Police Department after 42 years in law enforcement, reports WLAD.

Baker will complete his final day Monday after 11 years with the Danbury Police Department, WLAD said. Patrick Ridenhour, a 28-year law enforcement veteran, will replace Baker, WLAD reported. Ridenhour currently works in Stratford, according to WLAD.

On Monday, the Danbury Police Department will go through a Tier 1 Accreditation, which Baker said will provide a systematic review of methods, policies and procedures to improve the department, reported WLAD.
